Reflection

Hope Hummingbird's first exhibition, a family portrait of creatives and venues in Austin.

Over the past few months, Hope Hummingbird has been interviewing, photographing and creating one-of-a-kind porcelain portraits to serve as a timeless reminder of the vibrant artistic tapestry of Austin.

By adorning walls with these portraits arranged like a family album, Reflection prompts viewers to reflect on the fleeting nature of the present moment, urging them to appreciate and celebrate the diverse talents shaping their surroundings.

Alongside the portraits, there will be porcelain impressions of the footprints of the featured local creatives to be a tangible representation of the ephemeral moments of interaction with individuals in the community. Each footprint symbolizes a unique encounter and the importance of being grateful for these moments.

We invite you to appreciate the significance of each fleeting encounter. The influence of these creatives is ephemeral if we don’t support and acknowledge their unique contribution to our city.
